Incorporate Bonuses Into Your Affiliate Promotions To Increase Your Conversion Rates
Established affiliates understand that they must compete with other affiliates to get the sale. One of the more popular strategies used to convert a visitor is to offer a bonus as a reward for using the affiliate's merchant link to make the purchase. But how effective is the method, and how easy is it to put into effect?
Well, it certainly takes some work on your part if you want to add bonuses to your affiliate promotions. But it generally proves effective. The aim, after all, is to stop the prospect in their tracks and cease their current search for additional information about the product, or a higher-value bonus offer. If your bonus is sufficiently arresting, then you will succeed at this.
But there will always be a tradeoff - the better the bonus you offer, the higher the cost to you to create it in the first place, even if it is just a digital offering. After all, somebody has to do the research to create it (maybe you).
Jeff Czyzewski has tackled the problems faced by affiliates who need to create bonuses for their promotions. His solution is known as ClickBank Bonus Domination. In addition to providing a model for bonus development, his package includes software that can dispense bonuses to customers automatically. It can also be configured to automatically add the customer to your auto responder service.
Obviously Jeff would not have bothered to create a product like this if he did not feel sure that affiliates would find it highly beneficial. In all likelihood, I believe they will. This is based on my own experience with bonuses and affiliate promotions.
In fact, on all of my web sites which are dedicated to the promotion of a single affiliate marketing product, like on my ClickBank Bonus Domination review site, I use bonuses to sweeten the deal.
I do this for a very good reason. With affiliate marketing products in particular, it is extremely difficult to convince a prospect to buy through your affiliate link. After all, the prospect in all likelihood is an affiliate themselves, and their natural inclination would be to save themselves some money and buy the product through their own affiliate link.
So the use of bonus incentives is a virtually necessity in this case. This is why, when a product launch takes place and the product is designed to appeal to affiliates, you'll see an abundance of promotions with offers of what look to be massive bonuses. However, it is often the case that these bonuses are exaggerated more than the actual product that is being promoted, and the worth of the bonuses is usually far less than indicated.
Well, knowledgable affiliates will see right through that. So if you ARE to offer a bonus as an incentive, you must ensure that it really is a compelling one.
One method for doing this effectively is to write a special report that supplements the product that you are promoting. For example, if the product is an AdWords course, you might draw from your own experience as a PPC marketer to write a special report about how to write ads which tend to stand out, and therefore have super high conversions.
You might name your report "Ten Efficient Ad Strategies To Skyrocket Your Conversions". If you also demonstrate proof that your strategies work, you have just provided the prospect with a compelling reason to purchase through your link. Especially if your bonus report is exclusive, and can only be obtained from you.
If you would like to learn more about how you can devise your own bonus offerings, check out my own ClickBank Bonus Domination bonus page, where you will be given the opportunity to learn how I am utilizing this very strategy to promote Jeff Czyzewski's product.
It is also worth pointing out that when the bonus strategy is applied to the promotion of non affiliate marketing related products, which draw prospects who have no knowledge of affiliate links, the conversion rates can be improved a great deal.
